- SLC maintains a strong focus on communities located 1-2 miles inland from the shoreline
- We build houses for low-income landowners who lost their primary homes in the Tsunami
- SLC also focuses on providing homes for women who have become economic victims of the Tsunami
- An expertise in constructing homes in difficult to build areas by designing innovative foundations
- To provide a complete housing solution: A permanent home, Tools to sustain income levels, and Community programs such as schools and medical facilities

- The Sri Lanka Care (“SLC”)
has partnered with the Sri Lankan based charity, Hathbodhi Rajamaha
Viharya (“HRV”).
- HRV is comprised of professionals whose
experience and expertise have been essential in the development
of the program.
- Our HRV partners ensure that strict quality control standards are met by communicating with contractors on a daily basis and conducting weekly site inspection visits.
- Indeed, HRV anticipated the government’s response
and has adopted a strategy of directly working with property owners
whose homes have been destroyed.
