SLC Average Program Costs

• All SLC Administrative and Overhead costs have been funded by a generous donor, thus 100% of your donation is applied directly towards Program Costs.
• Building one School costs approx. $25,000.
• Building a New Home costs approx. $5,000.
• Rehabilitating a Home costs approx. $1,000.
• Providing Tools and Equipment approx. $100-$500.

Housing Project:

• Building new unit: $5,000

The new units will be:

• Minimum 500 square feet
• Homes consist of two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and indoor plumbing
• Services:
• Electrical-each room will have one power point and one light point
• Water
• Drainage
• Materials:
• Foundation
• Roof-designed to ensure cross ventilation. Materials will be clay tiles
• Walls-cement hollow blocks. Exterior and interior will be plastered
• Floor-cement rendered
• Doors and windows-wood
